Holidays In Hungary – Travel Guide
If you're looking to see something new, and an exciting place to spend your holidays, we suggest Hungary! This central European country will enthral you with its tradition, culture and places to see! Situated in the heart of the European continent Hungary had found its place where attracts rivers of tourists and that’s throughout the year. Well, it hadn’t always been like that – the old communist regime had took its toll and during that time all the focus went to Budapest leaving other parts of Hungary undisclosed and diminished. Luckily, the situation is quite different nowadays and Hungary as the country of Magyars, its descendants, now stands proudly and open-handed for all people already here and those who are yet to come. The capital of Hungary, Budapest, and as well the heart of the country in geographical sense, stands proudly on a river Danube which separates this great city in, literally, two halves – Buda and Pest. Budapest was founded in 1873 after three separate cities were united. Well, Buda is the best known and it dates back to 1247 when it was remembered as the capital city of Bela IV. This city continued to bloom all the way to the year 1541 when Turkish occupation had placed its foot here.
