AD 432 was a year when St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and, nowadays, it is remembered as St. Patrick’s Day, a celebration known and practiced worldwide. After 9th century Vikings were very determent to take over this country but actually never succeed, leaving only great legacy of their culture. Year 1169 is the year of greater, thus English ambitions when, under the reign of Henry II of England, Ireland began its fight for freedom and independence.
